Art Protect Detectors use a patented method to detect humidity. If moisture levels exceed 58% RH for at least 6 hours the indicator strip turns blue. Hydroscopic materials are of organic origin with a cellular or fibrous structure such as fabrics, leather, paper, natural adhesives and pigments all of which are at risk from changes in relative humidity.
